The Mojave Desert stretches from the wedge-shaped Antelope Valley eastward across the Colorado River and into Arizona. Located in the southwestern United States and is composed of Death Valley, Pahrump Valley, Amargosa Valley, the Las Vegas Valley and some of the surrounding areas.
The Mojave has a typical mountain-and-basin topography with sparse vegetation. It is much cooler and less arid environment. The Mojave Desert hosts about 200 endemic plant species found in neither of the adjacent deserts.
